AFTER CARE

Perhaps just as important as your treatment itself, is how you care for and maintain it in the following days.  Follow our easy after care instructions here. 

MICRONEEDLE / DERMAPLANING

  • Do not touch the area

  • Clean mobile phone

  • Fresh pillowcase

  • No makeup/skin care products for 12-24 hours

  • No heat treatments/chlorine/exercise/sun for 48 hours

  • No AHA's, Glycolic or Retinols for 48 hours

HYDRA-FACIAL

  • Do not touch the area

  • No makeup/skin care products for 6-12 hours

  • No heat treatments/chlorine/exercise for 24 hours

  • Avoid applying active ingredients for 48 hours

  • Avoid chemical peels and laser treatments for 1 month

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Use SPF 50

  • Use a hydrating moisturiser 

  • Avoid strenuous exercise

  • Avoid products containing retinol for 10 days post treatment

  • Don't schedule other skin care treatments too soon

ANTI=WRINKLE TREATMENTS

  • Do not touch the area

  • Keep upright for the next 4-6 hours

  • Avoid extreme facial expressions

  • No makeup/skin care products for 12-24 hours

  • No heat treatments/chlorine/exercise/rubbing areas for 48 hours after treatment

  • No facial treatments for 2 weeks

  • Correction-adjustments may be required after 2 weeks

  • Treatment takes up to 2 weeks to work, and the effects can last around 3-4 months

VITAMIN INJECTIONS

  • Do not touch the injection area

  • Keep the injection area clean

  • Recommended schedule: 1 injection per week for 3-4 weeks

  • Maintenance of one injection per month

DERMA FILLERS

  • Do not touch the area

  • No makeup/skin care products for 12-24 hours

  • No heat treatments/chlorine/exercise for 48 hours

  • No facial treatments for 2 weeks

  • Swelling can take up to 2 weeks to settle down

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Wear lip SPF

SCLEROTHERAPY

  • Walk and move around to prevent the formation of blood clots

  • Wear tight clothing, stockings, or bandages for 2 weeks after treatment

  • Some patients develop bruising or red areas at the injection site which resolve within a few weeks

  • Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen and other anti-inflammatory medications

  • Avoid sunbeds and heat exposure until the bruising is gone

INTRAVENOUS (IV) INFUSIONS

  • You may have some localised tenderness and swelling in the site that the venous cannula was inserted afterwards, this should usually resolve within 48 hours.  

  • You may experience bruising in the site that the venous cannula was.  Bruising is common and may take 1-2 weeks to resolve.

  • Keep the area where the cannula was inserted clean

  • Drink plenty of water within the first 48 hours

  • In the unlikely event of bleeding afterwards from the cannula site, apply pressure for approximately 20 minutes. Use a swab, cotton pad, clean towel or flannel. 

  • Seek medical attention if: you experience signs and symptoms of infection after the treatment. Signs of infection can be: red shiny skin, hot and puss around the area, fever or feeling unwell. 

  • Contact your practitioner if: you experience any unwanted side effects after the IV infusion

  • Seek medical attention if you feel unwell after the infusion

  • Seek emergency medical attention if: you have severe anaphylaxis after the IV infusion treatment. Signs of this could be: rash, facial swelling and breathing difficulties.

FAT DISSOLVING

  • Avoid touching or massaging the area for 24 hours

  • Optional: apply cold packs

  • Stay hydrated

  • Avoid heat and sun for 48 hours

  • Limit physical activity for 24 hours

  • Monitor for side effects

  • If you feel like you need any support or advice do not hesitate to contact the clinic

SKIN BOOSTERS

  • Avoid touching the treated area

  • Stay hydrated

  • Avoid heat and sun exposure for 24-48 hours

  • Use SPF when outdoors

  • No makeup for at least 12 hours after treatment

  • Optional: apply ice packs

  • Watch for side effects: if you see any redness, swelling, rash or signs of infection please do not hesitate to contact the clinic. 

  • Avoid alcohol for 24 hours

  • Please schedule a follow up appointment if needed 

MASSAGE

  • Drink plenty of water to help keep you hydrated whilst eliminating toxins from the body

  • Avoid alcohol and caffeine for 12 hours after treatment

  • Avoid strenuous exercise for 12 hours after treatment

  • Take time to do some simple breathing exercises

  • Stretch and gently warm up your joints

  • Massage treatments work best when they are performed on a regular basis. Make sure to rebook your next appointment. 

FACIALS

  • Avoid sunbeds for 12 hours after treatment

  • Avoid direct heat such as saunas, sunbeds, hot baths, showers and a hot hair dryer

  • Don't apply perfumed products to treated area for 48 hours

  • Do not use any exfoliating products for 48 hours after treatment

  • Drink plenty of water

  • Avoid wearing makeup for 6 hours after treatment

  • Avoid smoking and alcohol

  • Use SPF to protect your face

EYE LASH  AND EYEBROW TREATMENTS

  • Do not get your lashes wet within the first 24 hours, including excessive moisturiser

  • No steam, hot showers, baths, saunas or swimming for 24 hours

  • Avoid rubbing or excessive touching of the lashes

  • No makeup to the lashes or brows, including mascara, for 24 hours

  • No sunbeds

  • Avoid sleeping on your front within the first 24-48 hours

  • Seek immediate medical attention if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash/itching (especially face, tongue/throat), severe dizziness and trouble breathing

CRYOTHERAPY

  • Expectations: Redness, dry scab, itching, blisters

  • Do not pop the blister.  If it bursts, use a non-alcoholic wipe to clean the area and apply a smear of antiseptic cream. 

  • Do not scratch or use scrubs on the area

  • Healing takes around 4-6 weeks, however in some cases it can take longer

  • If healing lasts longer than 6 weeks, you may need to be reviewed by GP or clinic nurse

  • If the area is tanned, the treatment will remove the tanning and skin will need to repigment to tanned colour

  • During the healing time, you may shower/wash as normal and use your usual cosmetics including makeup, deodorants and moisturising cream

COOLIFT

  • Allow any serum residue left on the skin to continue to absorb over the following hours, do not remove this serum. The serum molecules will continue to swell and expand. You can remove the residue serum by patting a tissue onto the skin to remove the shine. 

  • Resume usual skin care routine
